Born in Nashville, TN, Mike moved to Atlanta to attend college. He attended the University of Georgia, where he studied Consumer Economics and played collegiate ice hockey. In August 2006, Mike became involved with the face-to-face sales and marketing industry. He began as a sales rep and was promoted to management within a year. In another 3 months, he opened up his own office. Mike credits the rapid growth of his business to the number of ambitious entrepreneurs that have become part of Detroit Business Consulting. With so much opportunity still yet to be realized, Mike believes that, given the right mix of work ethic and attitude, many more can achieve similar successes in this industry.   Accolades

Born and raised on the West Coast, Judson came to Michigan after growing up in Northern California. He was born in Portland, Oregon where his family currently calls home. Judson joined the military in 2009 and served in Operation Enduring Freedom. He was promoted to Sargent once he returned from Afghanistan with several medals. In 2014, Judson started his career at Detroit Business Consulting. His experience in leadership as a Sargent, paired with his passion for entrepreneurship, propelled him into a management position. Judson strives to continuously improve his skill set while training others to set the pace. With his competitive nature to exceed expectations, he hopes to inspire other marketing professionals to achieve their goals and reach similar success.

With over 10 years of direct sales experience, Brett brought a strong training emphasis to DBC. His role is to work closely with companies and clients developing sales teams and helping individuals transition from entry level sales to the management level. Brett is responsible for driving sales forward and campaign management by overseeing daily business development operations for partners and new entrepreneurs. Brett developed a passion for management, direct sales, and consulting early on. He has managed sales teams and worked with companies in 8 different states and we are excited to see the development here.

Growing up in Troy, Michigan, Kyle played basketball, soccer, baseball and football. He attended Oakland University where he obtained his degree in Business Management. His competitive personality has gained him success with DBC, and he was awarded the Top Performance Award for 2013 at the annual marketing awards ceremony. Although Kyle had five years of previous sales experience, his determination and enthusiasm about his campaigns made him an asset for the expansion of the company.

Where do our consultations/meetings take place?

The meetings take place at the location of the customer. That’s the great part about Direct Marketing. The customer doesn’t come to us, we go to the customer.

How are the customers acquired?

We are provided with leads of business customers that we are responsible for. We take care of the entire state of Michigan and we do all of the consultations face-to-face. We have 2 responsibilities, 1. make sure our existing customers are happy and their needs are fulfilled 2. acquire new business customers for our client.

Are there set paths for employees?

All of our managers started out as Account Representative and Management Trainees and followed a clearly defined career path that took them to where they are today.

Where are you looking to expand?

Since opening our doors in October 2007, we have already expanded into 30 locations. We are looking to continue our growth throughout the country and internationally.

Why is our form of marketing more effective than others?

Direct marketing provides a more personal connection between our customers and clients. Indirect marketing (Telemarketing, Television ads, Billboards, etc) has the face to face contact that customers desire. We believe our customers want to do business with a friendly face and a smile, which is what we provide.

How long does it take to become a Manager?

On average, employees advance to a management position in 5 to 18 months. An exceptional work ethic, a great student mentality, and an overall eagerness to succeed will allow an individual to advance more rapidly.

Detroit Business Consulting is busy preparing for 3 major conferences coming up.  Next weekend, we will be hosting a leadership and management training seminar for sales and marketing companies in the Midwest.  This will give team members from every spectrum of experience the opportunity to network and sharpen their skills. In May, a select few managers will be traveling to the UK to attend a national conference there. This is only for senior level management and will highlight accomplishments from this past year, as well as serve as a “meeting of the  minds” for entrepreneurs from the U.S. and the United Kingdom. In July, we have our own U.S. national conference where we will bring recognition to those who celebrated milestone accomplishments in 2015. At all of these events, networking and development are key factors. How often does someone get to be in a room filled with successful entrepreneurs who are sharing their business experiences and lessons? Probably not often, but we will be doing just that in a few short months!

When you think of South Africa, what images come to mind; lions, zebras, maybe a giraffe?  Well, we will be updated you with pictures straight from South Africa over the next 2 weeks as our CEO, Michael Rosenberg, travels to Johannesburg and other cities in South Africa for a consulting conference. This will be his first time in the Southern Hemisphere and the trip will include conferences, a safari, visits to their zoo, and tea in the afternoon. Michael is speaking at three conferences while he is in the country and he will be learning and experiencing their culture first-hand. Below, we’ve got a picture from Johannesburg, which is the largest city in South Africa and part of the wealthiest providence in the country. We are excited to see pictures as they come in over the next 2 weeks and will be sharing them via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram – stay connected!

The holiday is recognized as a federal holiday and John Conyers, a Congressman from Michigan, was the man who first introduced legislation for a commemorative holiday. The management team at Detroit Business Consulting will be in Chicago this week for a special training seminar for those in the highest management positions. Brian Herbert said, “The capacity to learn is a gift; the ability to learn is a skill; the willingness to learn is a choice.” This is a belief we hold strong at DBC and one of the reasons we are always traveling for conferences, training seminars and networking events. If you are going to go far in your business and plan to continuously develop your skills, it’s imperative that the learning and development never stop. Our team will return Thursday evening and prepare for a fun weekend ahead! Friday, we have an assistant management promotion at our Troy office and Friday night we have our company Christmas party.  Individuals and business owners will be visiting from Illinois, Florida, Wisconsin and around the state of Michigan to attend the event.  Look for the pictures that will follow these events!

Detroit Business Consulting had a bustling morning yesterday with the excitement and promotion of Cameron Bazin. Cameron was promoted to assistant management after earning the promotion last week. The whole office space was decorated; there were pink streamers covering the conference room, festive donuts and treats, and you couldn’t leave the office without having a trail of confetti follow you out. Cameron has a unique history with the company. He started working with Detroit business Consulting during the summer of 2014 as an intern. He learned the basics of the sales and marketing before returning back to school where he was working toward his degree and playing collegiate lacrosse. Even though Cameron was back at school, he still stayed in touch with the management at Detroit Business Consulting and attended conferences and events with the company with the intent to return in the spring. That’s exactly what he did. This summer, Cameron returned to our office in Troy and was ultra focused on being promoted to management in a short amount of time. In his speech yesterday, he focused on the things many people do wrong that hinder them from seeing and earning their full potential. Cam said, “Doubt is only removed by action. If you’re not working, that’s when doubt comes in.” He went on to explain that when people aren’t seeing the results they want, they usually start to doubt themselves, the structure, the system, whatever it may be. But to move past that doubt, they need to take action to fix it. It’s not the system or themselves that they should be doubting, it’s the lack of action they are taking to improve and get the results they want. We are excited to have Cam join the management team. His next step for us is to earn a full management position where he can oversee and run a campaign. We are all looking forward to that!

On July 11th, our team traveled to Baltimore for our national sales and marketing conference with the best-of-the-best in our business. Industry leaders from across the world were in attendance, including entrepreneurs from South Africa, Australia, the USA, Canada, and the UK. Members of Detroit Business Consulting were recognized for their leadership, sales expertise and management. Let’s just say, we came home weighed down with trophies and knowledge! Individuals recognized at the conference included Jordyne Mates for her excellence in quality and sales. Cameron Bazin, Lyndsey Look, Robert Rech and Anthony Gross all received awards for their performance so far with the company. It was very exciting for everyone at Detroit Business Consulting to see CEO Michael Rosenberg receive a promotion to Regional Consultant. His ability to manage many individuals and managers and consistently provide top-notch results for his clients earned him huge recognition at the conference! Just under 2,000 individuals attended the event to help grow their knowledge and network with top executives. Once a year we get to attend a national conference. Other conferences are held throughout the year on a regional level, but this one typically tops them all with entertainment, information and a phenomenal opportunity to surround yourself with successful and driven people. We are looking forward to next year already!
